The Westmoreland Library Network’s mission is to ensure that the county’s public libraries are able to provide the highest quality library service to all residents of Westmoreland County.
With our new integrated library system, over 115,597 registered borrowers have access to more than 788,189 items throughout the system with one county-wide library card. 24/7 remote access enables all county residents to browse library collections, place holds and conduct online research from their homes, businesses or schools any time of the day or night.
WLN is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors. Five of the seven Board members also serve as trustees for WLN member libraries, with the remaining two appointed by the Westmoreland County Commissioners as at-large members. The WLN Board is viewed as a key ingredient in ensuring the long-term sustainability of the Westmoreland Library Network. Their role is to:
